- What is a matrix transformation?
- A matrix transformation is a linear function that maps vectors to other vectors. Flow Math makes that mapping visible as a basis and grid rotate, stretch, shear, or collapse.
- What does the determinant mean?
- The determinant is the signed scale factor for area or volume under a linear transformation. A zero determinant means the space collapses in dimension and the matrix has no inverse.
- How are rank and null space related?
- Rank counts the independent output directions that remain after a transformation. The null space contains every input vector mapped to zero; their dimensions are linked by the rank-nullity theorem.
- What does a system of equations look like?
